Transport

Roads - Great Yarmouth is situated at the junction of the A47 and A12. The A47 gives excellent access to Norwich, and from there via the A11/A14 to the Midlands and beyond.  The A12 runs south to Felixstowe, Ipswich and London.

Shipping - Great Yarmouth has a 24-hour accessible port which has been servicing the offshore gas industry for over 40 years.  More recently, its services and expertise have been used in the development of onshore and offshore wind farms in the region. The £45m East Port outer harbour development will fulfil a regional requirement for deep-water berths. The project is expected to be operational in 2008.

Rail - The town benefits from good rail connections to Norwich, from where frequent services operate to London and the South, and the Midlands.

Air - Norwich International Airport, with air services to the major commercial centres in the UK and mainland Europe via Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport with 4 flights per day
